Palladium is more expensive than tungsten or titanium, but is also the only metal mentioned that can be resized. So if you gain or lose weight – you’ll be okay.

Palladium is a good choice over white gold is platinum is just not an option. But at this time, the market value between gold and platinum is a few hundred dollars, so for a little more, you can get a naturally white metal that does not lose its mass over time. Platinum really is the premium metal for wedding bands. A jeweler might say that it scratches easy, but it doesn’t lose mass, so you can get a platinum wedding band refinished over and over.

I’ve been looking into wedding rings myself and have considered getting carving or engraving done on it so it won’t look plain. From what I’ve heard, platinum is the best metal for engraving and carving–it’s very durable and will keep its color in and out of the grooves of the engraving since its naturally white.
